MY FIRST BAY AREA POST // The City We Love . . . But Will Never Live In

Last weekend, I went to the SFMoMA Countdown Celebration with some of my best buds Tiff and Joyce. We took these photos while waiting for our friends Sarah and Jon to join us after watching The Clock.  I'm so jealous they saw it- props to them for being the legit art fans who waited the insane line to see it.
More photos to come later, but these made me so happy I couldn't help but post them first. Was such a fun time! I'm still bummed that I didn't end up moving to San Francisco, but I love being able to meet up with friends there. Joyce and I were joking that even though the three of us all love San Franciso, none of us actually managed to move there (much like New York). But who knows- life is so unexpected, it's bound to happen for at least one of us eventually!

BACK FROM THE WEDDING

A quick photo from Joyce's instagram taken from this past weekend's insanely beautiful wedding in the Bay Area. The sun is peeking out behind us, so some of our faces are a little washed out, but I still love this photo because I really don't get many opportunities to see these girls anymore :(

I suppose it is back to the real world now! I must say it's really good to be back home though- I'm pretty pooped from the drive! We also visited our friends Dan and Kirsten on the way home, so we were on the road the entire day. I'm glad that we have the 4th of July off to decompress a little, maybe get some laundry done, shop for groceries. Errands always take so much longer than I wish they would! I think I'm going to try to see fireworks that night too. Either way, I hope you're having a wonderful start to your week!

More pictures from our trip up north last weekend.  Joyce and I headed over to Tiff and Jeff's new condo in Emeryville to get ready together before Julie and Chris' wedding. It made me unbelievably nostalgic of the good ol' days living in our Berkeley apartment on Etna Street when we'd all sit on the floor in front of our mirror with our makeup sprawled on the floor with dresses piled on the bed because we didn't know what to wear.  We'd always take way too long to get ready because we'd be talking and laughing instead!  I love these two, and I'm so thankful to have them in my life!

My Best Friend's Wedding

This weekend, Tiffany finally got married!
Was seriously the most fun I've had in a really long time! More pictures to come, but this one that my other bff joyce sent me makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and is definitely one of my favorites from that night! We were trying to get a picture together all day but were so busy running around doing all sorts of things for the wedding- but finally at the end of the night, somehow the three of us ended up in the bathroom at the same time, and were finally able to sneak in a picture together. I really miss these two and all our crazy adventures, especially now that I'm other side of California... but don't feel too sorry for me just yet- get ready for a major deja vu on October 1, because these two are going to be walking down the aisle AGAIN for my wedding! haha!
