HALF MOON BAY

We decided to keep with our Valentine's Day tradition of celebrating valentine's day on the weekend (instead of on the day of), and took a short day trip to Half Moon Bay before meeting up some of our college friends for a "quintuple date" at a bruschetta place in San Mateo. It was a nice mini getaway- even though this place is super close to the freeway that we take to work everyday, you feel like you've been transported to a different world when you get there!

OJAI Part 2 // Bart's Books

After Part 1 of our trip, we also stopped by Bart's Books, the largest independently owned outdoor bookstore in the U.S. This place is seriously huge and has books on just about anything you can imagine.  If I lived close by, I could totally see myself spending an entire day reading and discovering books while shaded by fruit trees and enjoying the beautiful Ojai weather.  Though there were so many books I wanted to buy, I narrowed my choice down to one and will be back Friday to share.

OJAI Part 1- Bicycles and Alpacas

We went to Ojai last weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day. The weather was a gorgeous 75 degrees and perfect for a relaxing bike ride along beautiful fields of orange trees. We also stopped by an alpaca farm where we got to feed and pet some of the furry little creatures. I had never seen alpacas before, but they are seriously adorable!
