This past weekend, we went camping our friends Julia and Adam at Mt. Madonna County Park. It was about an hour south of Cupertino, but we felt like we felt completely transported somewhere far, far away.
Taylor and I were nervous because it was the first time we have camped in a tent on our own, but Julia and Adam were the perfect people to do it with. They were super encouraging and took really good care of us the entire time! Hopefully it will be the first of many future camping trips- it's hard beat that feeling you get from sleeping under the stars and waking up to a forrest of trees and fresh air first thing in the morning.
This weekend reminds me of the our trip to Big Sur and Monterey last year when our friends Chris and Julie helped us go on our first hike. Now that we've gone on many hikes since then it's funny to remember a time when we thought it was really scary. I am thankful for encouraging friends who have helped us try new things for the first time.

I've never been camping like that. The closest I've been to that is the sleeping at a canvas tent in Yosemite haha.
PS: We need to meet again!! It's been TOO long!!
