Butternut Squash and Edible Flowers_ Ingredients

Butternut Squash and Edible Flowers_ directions 1

* When cooking with flowers, make sure flowers are free of pesticides and are intended for cooking
* cover lid of blender with cloth instead of the cap in order to let steam out but still prevent soup from splashing out

Spring is in the air, and I can't think of anything more spring like than eating actual flowers on a bed of bright deep orange butternut squash soup. Recipe adapted from here.

This looks positively divine! I've never made soup in a blender before, so I'll have to keep your cloth tip in mind.

How come you never cook for me? haha just kidding...sort of.. :)

I really like those bowls too - for a minute I thought you had broken them yourself for the artistic shot!
